Our Parish is the People of God gathered and united as a family through celebration of the liturgy, the study of Scripture and the pursuit of our mutual goal: eternal life.
Our parish mission is to pray, to study, to teach and to serve as Jesus did. We strive to love one another so that we all rejoice in times of joy, share in times of prosperity, give comfort in times of stress and help in times of need. Relying on the Providence of God and asking for guidance of the Holy Spirit, we continue Christ's mission on earth through our parish ministries - giving generously of ourselves, our blessings and our talents. Through such gifting, we build up the Body of Christ in our parish, in our community, ad in our world. For contact information or directions, Click here!
To the Parents of Our Children
RELAX!! God put the wiggle in children, don't feel you have to suppress it in God's House.
All are welcome here at St. Catherine's Church! Sit towards the front where it's easier to see and hear. Quietly explain the parts of the Mass. Sing hymns and songs, pray and voice the responses together. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying YOU!
If you have to leave Mass with your child, please feel free to do so, but please come back.
As Jesus said, "Let the children come to me." Remember that the way we welcome children in Church directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God, to Christ, and to one another. Let them know that they are at home in this House of Worship.
To the members of our parish, a smile of encouragement is always welcome to parents with small, active children. The presence of Children is a GIFT to the Church. They give us future full of hope.
